problem with H/L Client

I've D/L client form this site and installed it two or three times and it's the same each time.. Left side of screen cuts off where it says connect..at the second -n- in connect.. also the chat window doesn't show the place to click on to type in my password! I've gone in to my hlpro ini. file and changed the Scale to .90 for my desk top is set at 1024x768.(the suggested values were going the opposite way for me) I did find that if i hit the tab key Then type my password in it will connect me the the lobby were I want to go, but to type in chat I still have to hit the Tab key then type each time, and I still can't see what I'm typing(which is something I need. I type VERY BAD! Smile

any help would be so very welcomed!!!! Embarassed
