Hello,
unfortunately I've joined the group of those who experiencid this problem today... Don't know what went wrong - I was creating second user login to strat dedicated server and that was OK. After server was up for a day or so, there has been a message that some system updates were installed, was an XP thing I assume. Nevertheless since reboot I can't start the HL, receiving the above message.

- reinstall didn't help
- DCOm service is running
- tried to patch the OLEA..dlls
- tried the mcrepair tool
- tried the VBCMPFIX

heving no result... Any ideas please?
The log is below

Bohuzel ani preinstalace...
v Eventlogu mam sice chybu pri spousteni serveru DCOM, ale zadny Access Denied jako v tom linkovanem prispevku (diky za nej presto, jsme o neco moudrejsi)

me to pise
Nelze spustit server DCOM: {01219BDE-7DD4-4FD4-8DB4-DE28B84D5DF6}. Došlo k chybě:
C:\Program Files\HyperLobbyPro3\aping.exe -Embedding není platná aplikace typu Win32.

Fakt nevim...
preinstalovaval jsme puvodni verzi, odinstaloval, cistil registry a znovu instaloval vcetne posledni beta verze... porad Out Of Memory. Fakt uz nevim Sad

OK, problem solved...

I was getting message in eventlog

unable to start dcom server not a valid win32 application

The problem is caused by zero length files existing in root directory.
