Hyperlobby can't find the il2 path.

I have tried the procedures below to the letter.

I've copied your path below in your post (yes without the quotes), which is the same as mine and pasted, hit search. i've copied directly from windows explorer address bar, hit search. i've right clicked in the exe file, copied, hit search. i've tried all the above by BOTH just hitting the connect button AND by hitting crtl-shift left click connect.

None of them work. Any help greatly appreciated.

It's time for a stickey on this subject.

If HL can not find the path you got to follow the FAQ procedure and
manually tell it where it is!

This dialog can be forced by pressing CTRL+SHIFT and left-clicking on the CONNECT button. There are two ways to enter the correct game-installation folder:1. Type the game path into the text box with the name of the game executable, for example "C:my gamegameapp.exe", then press the Save button.
2. Left-click the Search button and wait until HL finds your game folder. Then double-click on the correct item and select save.
If you think that both of these methods have failed, right-click your game icon, select properties, and copy and paste the game path into the textbox and left-click the Save button. (If nothing works, try reading this manual from the beginning.)

The patc might look like this

"C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\il2fb.exe"
or, for 64 bit OS
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\il2fb.exe"

nevermind, figured it out. was linking to il2, and not FB. Thought Il2 would represent 1946 and fb was old.

Some with Vista operating systems are forced
to copy the entire 1946 folder to another folder than "Program files".
1946 is NOT a registered program so you can do this
and there is no need to delete the original.

Good luck

You need to map a key for "Chocks" in the game.

Silly the game designers did not do this for you as it can stop you dead.

I mapped the ALT C key stroke.

Hi chickensoup !

When you play IL-2 , select 'CONTROLS' on the main board . Here you can define the keys .
