Its already correct. When you are behind a NAT router, follow F4 SP3 manual.

jiri,

i am using dial up access. when i fly falcon sp3, i cannot see other players in chat and they can not see me. Firewalls are off. Then, when i join a game from the public mission section, sometimes i can be seen, sometimes i can't. There seems to be no logical reason why. if i try to join a game in progress, sometimes i can see the players, sometimes not. any help you can give would be great!

Slimpenny,

F4 can only see the 1st external IP in your system by default.

If the proper ports are open thru your firewall/router you shouldnt have any problems connecting to F4 sessions via dialup.

Try running hostidx in the Falcon root directory, to make sure F4 is seeing your external (i-net) IP correctly.

** SP3 docs MP section has more info on how to properly configure Falcon SP3 for online use. **

If you determine you are set up properly for MP.... and it still doesnt work, then the problem might be very high latency (ping).

F4 is VERY sensative to online lag .

If you're seeing red pings in HL and/or your ping is 350+ ms to servers you will encounter problems in online Falcon Tactical Engagements and Campaign.
