I've already had this Q in the HL lobby several times. so here's an answer for those who are curious.

Username: DesertRanger
Late of a tribe of Indians for whom I worked for as a Tribal Ranger.
Currently a wilderness and eco-tour guide in the Mojave and Sonora deserts as well as an instructor in desert craft, tracking and survival.

I can also recover data from any drive as long as it spins up and seeks.

'Nuff said.

There is a wonderful piece of software called "Photo Rescue" that will
recover information from hard drives, even formatted multiple times, and
flash cards.

I have had excellent luck recovering old 3.5 floppys with it also.

As you said, as long as it spins and seeks.

What it will not do is recover complex operating system software like Windows.....

Who would ever want to recover Windows, Linux or OSx. There isn;t a single OS on the market that is worth the code it was written in. Click here
