Did you know you can have the stock skins
be painted any color for your viewing while
your opponent see's them as stock?
All you got to do is re-paint the stock skins without
changing the file name.
It's that easy.
Your opponent think's be's flying a green 109
when you see a blaze orange 109.
The only way to be sure your skin looks as you want
is to fly custom skins with a custom file name.
AND fly only servers with skin download ON.

I will have to test this but sounds plausable.
With current lag issues it is wise to play with skin download off and fly with default skins only. It makes for a smoother game.
Default skins are locked within the game and you cant change them.
