S!

I have the same problem. "Error Socket: 11004 Valid name, no data record of requested type" What does it mean? And what is the solution? I find a short answers, somewhere else, but it does not say anything. But I called my ISP and no problem with them. If someone knows somethoing about the problem, please tell it!

Thx!

S!

Sorry Jiri, but this is no firewall problem. I have no firewall now. I try to fix this misterious 11004 problem with a drastic step. I reinstalled my computer. I started with OS+hyperlobby+FB+AEP+PF+patches. It work, no error messages. The firewall of the OS recognized the hyperlybby and FB+AEP+PF, and let the programs to go through the firewall. It worked. I could enter the lobby, and servers. But then I continued the installation, with some utility software (NERO, Winzip, Qiucktime, Flashget, Acrobat etc, etc, but not antivirus, and other firewall). And the problem, the error 11004 was here again. O.K. I removed all the softwares that I installed before, except the OS, Lobby, and the FB pack. But the problem remained!!! I switched off comletely the firewall of the OS but the problem remained!!! Nothing helps.

I have Athlon 64 3000+ CPU, ASUS A8V Deluxe motherboard, OS Win XP SP2 and HIS Excalibur 9600 TURBO grafics card. Gigabit Ethernet network card, 1024 DSL.

I think this is not a firewall problem. The error message appears before any firewall can react. Please write if u have any tipps! Thx!
