Changing a .def file

Hi all,

Im running a new pc now, i5 core, win 7 64 bit. Im installing everything again. I need to change the Hyperlobby.def file. Trying this with Notepad and trying to hit the "safe" button, Notepad wants to create a new file and last he says "acces denied".
I cannot change the file like i did in XP. There i only had to hit the safe button and he safed it promptly without doing new things and no acces denied

Someone has a solution for this problem. Im pritty sure this is more a common win7 64bit problem.

It might say acces denied because you dont have admin privileges.

Save As it. Delete old, rename new.

Seems a good trick Erkki, gonna try that.
Other go arround: put it on desktop and you can change it like yu did in XP. than put it back to place.
Johnston, i am full as admin on my pc, so there is no reason he says: acces denied. Gonna sort this out laters.

Well, i was trying to enlarge the HL on my screen.

I was trying again to change the DEF file via desktop. I scaled to 1.9 but when replacing the file again to his normal map and launching HL there was no enlarged HL to 1.9
Therefore, like yu said Jiri: "It will do nothing??"
I can do the scaling at HL itself. But how to change the config ini file from Il2Sturmovik via Notepad????

I wanna do this for going to widescreen in the game.
Any help or not???

In HL menu is item edit settings.
