I Embarassed cant remember how to make my hosting hidden for Gamespy and AllSeeingEye ?

i think it was in early Hyperlobby version technical help section.
Something like Hosts file editing? Idea

Can you plz help/tell me what to change in file to accomplish disable heartbeat to prevent AllSeeingEye people enter HL host´s games.

Lots of good info was lost in that crash... But not everything. Wink

You can use the notepad or other text editing program. Be careful the "hosts" file must be saved without extension, "hosts.txt", "hosts.doc", etc is wrong and it will not work !

Location of the host file for W98, ME:
1./ Browse the "c:\windows" folder
2./ Rename "hosts.sam" file to "hosts"
3./ Add the magic line in to the "hosts" file

Location of the host file for W2K:
1./ Browse the "c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc" folder
2./ Add the magic line in to the "hosts" file

Location of the host file for WXP:
1./ Browse the "c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc" folder
2./ Add the magic line in to the "hosts" file

But warning ! It will disable hosting functionality of all GS powered games.
