bad password or uname when connecting to HL client ?

my password and user name work fine for the website but i get a message telling me i have the wrong password or uname when i try to connect to the client.

anyone know why this might be happening?

Hi! Have you ever logged onto the Hyperlobby client?
The website registration and the client are not the same.
Your uname might have already been taken. If so try another uname and
Register.

ah right cheers m8,

i did actually play il2 a while back, i was either flying as kozhedub or ivan kozhedub, cant really remember which now..

so can u tell me how id change my in game name?

i tried that deleteaccount command but it just comes back to the one i picked in the first place, ive done an uninstall of the lobby to but it was still there when i re-installed it..

seems like they try to make u stick to one name or summat?

Just open up the Hyperlobby client but don’t hit connect then type in you new uname, from there register your new name when prompted. Seems you have forgotten your old info eh?

When playing IL-2 via the Hyperlobby your uname in game will always be the name you have logged on with. This name is not stored in the IL-2 game.
During direct ip games without using the Hyperlobby the last name you used in an offline game will be the default one that will show up in game. You can edit your offline name via the pilot button in the start screen of IL-2 game.
As for deleting your old account name, you cannot use that command until you have logged on. (type in //deleteaccount in the chat then hit enter).
