Is there a way to specify a specific .ini file to use when running Hyperlobby? Is there a command line switch for example? I want to host different servers using the same account on my computer and do not want to keep having to retype all of my server information.

thanks in advance

Its done from 4.1.8 version:
Code:
Added commandline parameter -i x where x is instance value. This si usefull if you host multiple servers on one computer. This feature support separate login/settings profile per HL instance and is compatible with HL autoupdate system.

What do you mean instance value? How does this work? Do I make a batch file to run
Code:
hyperlobby.exe -i hyperlobby.ini
? Do I need to specify path name to hyperlobby.ini?

I still need Multipleinst=1 under configuration yes?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

More details,

-i <instance> made specific profile for:
1./ Login name / login password
2./ for hyperlobby datafiles

Exactly it working that datafiles(ini, pager, chatlogs, friendlist, cache, etc) are placed by default in:

Code:
c:\Documents and Settings\<windows username>\Application Data\HyperLobby

<instance> adding aditional surfix to \HyperLobby folder, so -i Server1 will use datafiles from:

Code:
c:\Documents and Settings\<windows username>\Application Data\HyperLobbyServer1

No any aditional tweaks are needed, so if you have used it, revert it or made clean install. Cloning HL installlation folder is no more required, only clone your shortcut to the same HL executable and add to speciffic -i parameter pre shortcut. If you will do update, close all existing instances, update and run they again. To autoupdate you must close all instances too and leave only one to start autoupdate installator.

EDIT: I cleaned this topic a bit

Hi ^^
(sorry for my english)
I have a similar question:

I have 2 online IL2 servers that run well together on the same distant server, the 1st is a coop server working through the 21000 port. The second is a dog server working through the 21001 port.
Actually, only one of them can be slotted in Hyperlobby, the second one can be joined only through direct IP.
If I try to slot them together in Hyperlobby, only the 21000 port will be set.

My question is: Is there a way to run 2 different Hyperlobby instances on the same computer each one with different settings?

Thanks in advance.

Yes you can.

Create a 2nd HL folder.Do not install a 2nd HL instance. Just copy the original folder.Create a 2nd desktop icon.

In the target line of the shortcut add -i 1 after the hyperlobby.exe.Add -i 2 on the end of the target line of the 2nd HL shortcut.

That will set up 2 different instances of HL.

Now create a login name for instance 1 of HL.The login name should be the server name you want to be displayed.Create another login name for instance 2 of HL.Again the name should be the name of the server you want to be displayed.

Now create 2 dedicated server folders.Set your preferences and difficulty settings for each server.

For instance 1 of HL set the path to dedicated server 1.For instance 2 of HL set the path to dedicated server 2.

Now when you click on instance 1 desktop icon it will go to dedicated server 1 and when you click on the instance 2 desktop icon it will go to dedicated server 2.

The server settings are set in the server.cmd file. The check boxes in HL are just there for information to tell people joining what your settings are.

As far as I know there is no dedicated coop server. You have to host those yourself.

But the above procedure is the same. You can have instance 1 as a dedicated dogfight server that runs all the time and instance 2 as one you login to manually start a coop mission.

Each instance needs its own port number and must be forwarded in your router(in your case both 21000 and 21001 must be forwarded to the internal ip of you server machine).

Many thanks.
Finally I use the same Hyperlobby folder and I needed to open Hyperlobby in 2 different Windows sessions with the -i parameter. That allow 2 different folders in users/ApplData/Roaming

Yes I have 1 Dedicated Dog Server (IL2SC) and 1 Dedicated Coop Server (IL2DSC rnzoli system) as you could see on Hyperlobby (FRA-SEOW_DOG in left column and FRA-SEOW in the right one.
