Hello,
just got my new internet connection at the place where I live for studying at university.
But somehow I am not able to connect to HL, I get a timeout. There is no firewall or anit-virus program blocking. I don't know what is causing this problem. I would be very grateful if some admin could help me out here.
Cheers

Im sure now that this problem is caused by the network here. I think most of the ports are blocked because of security reasons. |

Most universities have restricted access and allow traffic on port 80 & 8080 only.
Hyperlobby needs connection into the Internet by TCP port 1698, and for latency calculation between clients uses an ICMP echo reply protocol. |

And this mean HL supported games will not work for you too since they using various UDP/TCP services.
