I have shared ISDN internet connection and using WinProxy server to allow 2 other comps access to Internet. Now its setup for HTTP and FTP and works without problems. But HL cant connect. There is no option to set proxy settings in HL. Have no problem with other aplications using Internet (like AVG antivirus, Lavasoft Ad-aware, Windows Media Player...).
Windows 98 SE, PII, enought of everything.

Hi
HL use tcp port 1698. Winproxy is only PROXY server for the FTP, HTTP. POP3, SMTP services... You need a NAT capable routing software as is Winroute for win 9.x, NT. w2k, xp have includet NAT support called as Internet conection sharing.
PS: Linux is already the best router/firewall/proxy solution, but less users like than Windows ...

Presently using two PCs both have Windows XP, and a Linksys Router, Cable modem thru Roadrunner. Only one user can fly IL-2. the other recieves a timed out connection error.
Any hints on getting the second user connected.
Have tried porting one pc direct with usb to modem.
Router is connected to PCs with ethernet cards...by wire.

Have look in to hlpro.ini , find [IL-2 Sturmovik (full version)] section and add there entry
for client 1:
localPort=21001
for client 2:
localPort=21002
