HL not finding the ".EXE" in WinXP Pro

I have just installed FB on my WINXP drive.

I have 3 hd's on my puter. It is also a dual-boot system. "WIN XP Pro & WIN 98se"

XP is my "D" drive. After installing my new G4 Ti4200 card I installed FB for the first time on XP. Now HL needs to find the ".exe"
I know right where it is, but HL will not go there and it will not let me do a manual type in "ignores it"

Here is the set up.

1. "C & D drive are one hd" they are C drive = Win 98se & D drive = WINXP

2. "E" drive = storage

3. "F" drive = storage

4. FB is on "D" drive

HL knows that "D" drive is there as it list's it. But when I try to select Search for it to look in there it jumps right to "E" drive, never looking in "D" drive.

I have even "copy & paste" the ".exe" to the other drives so that it would find it. No Luck.

Any suggestions?

Its bug already mentioned in this board , and will be fixed with new version of HL ... The problem is that the "program files" folder have set readonly flag and bug in HL searching skipping those kind folders. Temporary solution is paste the right path in to location dialog.

I have tried to paste the correct path and it sasy.
Can not find .exe in path.

When is that new version coming out ?

Please do not for get to add all the great rooms you have made for IL to bo in the FB section as well

Paste this in...
D:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik forgotten battles\il2fb.exe
and save.
If not try it with uppercase letters :
D:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles\il2fb.exe
and save.
For some reason the lowercase letters in FB sometimes work??
