Hey Elwood did you ever solve this problem? Brand new computer also and Im getting the same error message.....If you did could you or anyone else help me out and tell me how to fix this problem... ...

Okay,
Brand new computer, just installed the OS and my stats are

Win XP porfessional W/SP3
Nvidea GTX 280 Video card
2 Duo CPU 3 ghz
4 GB Ram
1.5 TB HD

HL will not install....keep getting t ...
