Tried the tips at this site:
http://users.bigpond.net.au/boredroom/hyperlobbytips1.htm

This error happened after I copied the game to a different drive.

Hypperlobby runs on NTSF and the game also, but before it has been installed on an fat32 drive.

Hi!

Seems like HL does not like non-existent drives. I moved my installation too, and the old drive ("H:\") became a CD-ROM.
HL crashed always with Err52 on autoconnect. After disabling autoconnect HL crashed as soon as I wanted to point out the new location (or connect).
For me it helped to put in a CD.

If the old letter is not available anymore, maybe you can emulate a drive at that location. Start HL then, use the shift-stuff to point to new location of your sim, and afterwards everything should be fine again.

Good luck Smile

Thanks a lot Weasel.

You hit it right on the spot. Bullseye.

Just changed my drive name and it was easy to change the position of the game.exe (according to the link above) and changed the drive back. And it's now working just fine.

For everybody who has the problem(Button names are translated from a german system):
Drive names can be changed in Windows 2000 by right-klicking on the system (Arbeitsplatz) button on the desktop and then choosing administration/maintenance (Verwalten). And there you can find a folder were you can change the drive names.

Thanks again Weasel and good luck to everybody.
