First, Let me say hello to everyone. I'm a newbie to the Flt. Sim. community and to HyperFighter. After years of running a CS server and being bored to death, I must say I'm enjoying the challenge of this genre. I find the maturity of most virtual pilots refreshing. Now onto the topic of this thread the "Hyperlobby Server is unavailable error".

The fix apparently worked for me. I have the Hlpro.ini file located in C:\Program Files\HyperLobbyPro3 directory.

Editing the file, I changed the following setting: DetectLocalIP = 1 to DetectLocalIP = 0

Excactly as you see it and it worked immediately. However, the upgrade to HL Pro 3.8.90 also worked for a while, then I started receiving the error. So we'll see if this fix is permanent.

Regards

Currently it works again. Maybe the Hyperlobby server just had it's little downtime. But I was wandering why I didn't find any "Hyperlobby is down" thread at the Ubi forum.

OK, thanks for my "personal Hyperlobby". Wink

With V.3.8.0.91 I was able to connect to Forgotten Battles Servers twice without any problems and with DetectLocalIP = 1.

But for the last ~20 minutes Hyperlobby seems to been down. When I try to connect now I'm getting the message "HyperLobby server is temporary unavailable... Please wait few minutes and try reconnect again ...".

Thanks for testing it Smile It was bug and will be fixed in next release soon ...

Razz PF Works now for me (.9.2-Version) with IP-Default-Setting (DetectLocalIP=1).
Thank you !

Hi, I was having the same time out problems but managed to fix it. I don't know if it the same thing as you guys are talking about because mine was not hyperlobby specific...I would time out if I was trying to log on to hyperlobby, all seeing eye (I think that's what it's called) or the ubi servers...but this is what I did anyway.

I am a complete muppet when it comes to computers so don't ask me how I figured it out, must have been a fluke!

First, I went to the command promt in windows xp - click START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMT. I then typed IPCONFIG. It came back with two IP addresses...one for my Local connection (apparently I have one, didn't know I did - did I mention I am computer illiterate), and the 2nd one was my actual internet IP address. I wrote the Internet IP address down.

I then went into the hardware setup for IL2 (you know, the part where you set all of the video and sound etc settings)...and clicked on the NETWORK tab. There should be a drop down box entitled IP ...mine was set to DEFAULT. When I clicked on the drop down arrow however, my two IP addresses that i saw earlier were both there...I set the IP address for my internet connection as the one to use ...and hey presto, internet IL2 now works. I think the default setting was using the local network IP address rather than the internet IP address.

Hope it helps.

Cheers
Adam
