is il-2 forgotten battles an expansion or do i need to buy il-2 first?

IL2 Forgotten Battles is its own game.No need for the original IL2.However there is an expansion pack for Forgotten Battles.It is called AEP or Ace Expansion Pack.Then there is Pacific Fighters.It can be installed as a standalone game(not too many players in HL) or added to FB and AEP(you need both to add Pacific Fighters).
95%(or more) online flyers at HyperLobby fly the merged version of Fb+AEP+PF.
So if you fly online you will need all 3 (FB+AEP+PF)plus the patches.
