Can't sign on, was I banned?

t Dude I can't get HL Client to accept my Username or Password. I had an old Username and Password but I was removed because I hadn't played for over 9 months or something like that. I re-registered and everything was great, I received a new password but it wouldn't accept it. I tried changing my password with the confirmation code and that went fine but it still says wrong username and or password. I've recently re-formatted and reinstalled winXP and everything else, my PC is running great and my System Mech 6 program doesn't find any add or spyware. I also use Nortons antivirus fully updated and I don't have any viruses. Maybe it just doesn't like me using my old Callsign but I can't seem to change that, or don't know how. I've uninstalled HL Client(the latest) and re-installed it 3 times and still no go. The only other thing can think of is that I was banned, but I find that hard to believe because I never even played a game on HL yet. I chatted with a couple of people but I don't remember saying anything political, slanderous or anything bad. I remember saying that I thought the shorthand S! meant stupid, but that I was sadly mistaken. Since then I have increased my shorthand understanding. Well if you have banned me that's fine as I've heard from others it's not hard at all to get banned from here, and I seriously think I was misunderstood if I was. Oh well hopefully I wasn't banned but I find that a bit harsh if I was, and hopefully you'll re-consider. I also read something about both Hyperlobby and its client need to be registered and you have to delete your old password from the client as well which I'm not able to do since I can't even get into the chat for HL Client. I only play games on-line once in a while and wonder if there is some way to keep my registration going. Evil or Very Mad

The HyperLobby Client is a separate entity and is not linked to the registration of the Hyperfighter website forums. The HyperLobby client will not send you any password via email. The password it needs is the one that you typed into it originally upon first registration, Not the Hyperfighter websites registration.

Looks like you will have to wait 9 months, unless Jiri resets it for you.

Maybe Jiri can update the FAQ with the 3rd reason I have posted below.
