Yesterday I purchased a new system (Core 2 Intel, 2 G Ram, 8600 Video card etc etc). However, it came with Windows Vista (basic) and while I have been able to install IL2 and other games, and install Hyperlobby, I haven't been able to get HL to connect to the internet. I have set compatability for HL to XP SP2 and run as Administrator but while it loads up, it fails as follows through and gives the following message:
"Please wait, connecting HyperLobby server
HyperLobby server connected succesfully
* Wrong username or password ...
Connection to HyperLobby server was closed"
I know my username and password are correct as I used them to access the Hyperfighter/HL website.
Any ideas how to overcome this??? All suggests welcome and gratefully received.

password is case sensative.
Try the caps on, and off.

try to make new account just to make sure that HL is runing is it should be on Vista
if works with new account then you have 2 choices
1. try to find right username and password
2. play with new account
