Auto connecting problems with HL 3150. On clidking HL's desktop icon and then the 'CONNECT' button in window, I am receiving message "Error socket: 11004 Valid name, no data of requested type" .
To overcome this in Win XP, I have to connect to my server first before opening the HL folder, whereas with the older versions of HL (when operating in Win'9, I was automatically getting an internet connection box open up on double-clicking the HL icon. What is the answer please? Someone has suggested changing the client. What/how do you do this?

Sounds like on your win 98 install you had a tick in both boxes next to your *username* and password. That way it will auto connect when you double click on the Hyperlobby icon.
As for the error message try and see if anything in the tread Jiri posted helps.
