Hi guys,
For the past 4 months I've been having to join to games through I.P. I'm running on a network where I connect to a DOMAIN - this isn't the problem as it worked for a long time like this.
Basically my Dad decided to do a cleanup of the server and created a new profile for me.
My new profile is: Sam.Surname
my old profile is: Sam.Surname.000
Ever since the cleanup my hyperlobby has stopped working. Whenever I double click on the icon I get the message:
Unexpected error; quitting (3 times)
I then wait a few seconds, and If i click on the loading box it says:
This application cannot be completed because the other application is busy. Click "Switch To". (If I click this then nothing happens)
Then - I get the message:
Runtime error '429'

I have tried running aping and dexec - i get the Unexpected error message.

I believe the problem lies in the fact that there is some data that lies in my old profile that this current profile, despite being an admin cannot delete. I have gone through the registry and deleted all references to HyperLobby.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The error "Runtime Error '429' ActiveX Component Can't Create Object" is most likely caused by a program that is removing files that it isn't supposed to on uninstall. The program removed a component that is vital to Hyper Lobby.

To fix this, reinstall Hyper Lobby. If you still get this error after reinstalling Hyper Lobby you may need the Visual Basic 6.0 runtime files, or yours may be corrupted. By default, Windows installs these files. However, if a programmer wrote a bad uninstaller for his program that you uninstalled, it would remove these important files. To get them back, you can download them from Microsoft at the link below.

Good luck.
