Can not start game - not running Vista

I have been playing online on IL2 for a long time now, and suddenly I cannot start game. I double-click the image but it doesn't do anything.

Can anyone help me? I've uninstalled then reinstalled the game, but to no avail.

I am running Windows XP, NOT VISTA.

There are a million possabilities.
Have you installed any new software lately?
Have you done any updates to Vindows?
Are you running a ATI 9800 Pro video card?

Is IL-2 working off line?

Have you tried to launch hhe game directly from the game install folder?
(find the folder and double click on the IL2fb.exe icon directly)

Also run the IL2 setup and set everything for safe defaults if nothing else works.

Good luck, if you get anywhere report back here and I will try some more things.

The game is working fine now, turned out one file was deleted by my sister Evil or Very Mad

Hyper Lobby is now not even starting. It shows the mouse loading for a second then nothing happens. I have reinstalled everything on Hyper lobby, so there is no way files are missing, but to no avail.

Can you help me there?

Try deleting the entire HyperLobby folder and re-installing.

I tried, but a few files say they are being used by windows, with nothing open. I have reinstalled Hyper Lobby though, with nothing happening. . .

No change as I know of so far.
