There is free server for SC on GameSpy, so im not sure that there should be another on HL... maybe when Dangerous Waters comes out with all promised stuff included /ship, sub and jet command/, then it will be good idea for lobby on HL.
PS. THATSHAYNE do you know what is the size of your "banner"?
437Kb, there are people with poor connections, you know...

If you want to play on-line games, you need to get a real connection.
SC, or the SC community, never did properly develope an online gaming forum. There are too many variables to the set up. Some like just plain SC, some don't have the same patches, some don't like SC, too forgiving, they like SCX added for realism, some like SCU, added playable vessels... It is essential to have the same files in any online game so these probs are killing this great game. Gamespy doesn't offer the group homefeel foundations required to enchourage and develope so fragmented a community. I'm familiar with Hyper Lobby and believe it is far better suited. You need to follow the arguements better. Start here ---> http://207.44.164.159/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=18913&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
As for Dangerous Waters, how many people do you know who will want to set themselves up as targets on the water? I mean, who is gonna play PT Boat or destroyer when Hell is waiting below? Just my opinion, I may be wrong and Geeeeeeeeeze if they can make it really interesting, I'll buy it, but I have my doubts it's gonna work out.
Gamespy dont work, too many variables, HL does work.
Get a connection, will meet at HL for SC 1.08 w SCX and SCU...

For those looking for PICS...
Click the pic up top and visit my site for a very worthwhile 5 meg DL of movie. Theres just too many pics to set out individually. will set up a couple more movies to DL - view and trash after if you like.
BTW, because these pics are turned to movie file they lost a great deal of clarity. I'll post a few so that you can see the difference.
Enjoy!

Well, im in Seawolves so i dont need server to play, however im playing Sudden Strike and Rogue Spear on GameSpy, and on SC lobby there is always people who playing. Some of them are from virtual fleets, ive played few times and i completed all dives w/o disconnection or any other problems. My connection is good for me, all games and other stuff runs smoothly, but PLEASE - optimise your banner
PS. HL in its 99% is maked for flight sims, and SC is going in the past, so the DW lobby is better idea for future release, just a suggestion

And to post in forums i need REALLY good connection?
THATSHAYNE dont take me wrong, i'll be HAPPY to see room for Sub Command on HyperLobby, but im not sure that there will be FULL support from SC players... most of them are in virtual fleets and they played through ICQ or mIRC, another part of them are on GameSpy, i dont want to see SC room in few months in that way:
Sub Command 0 players

I'm doing this for those who are not in Seawolves
I'm doing it because all those people you see at Gamespy are spinning their tires getting nowhere. They are there, but they are not playing. They are trying to figure out what to agree on for common files and it's screwing them up. They all go home frustrated, so I've witnessed there.
Game needs a home dude. So lets just leave it at that. Jiri doesn't appear to have a prob with hosting it here if there's an interest. You have a place to play, too many people don't. And now that these fleets have all they need, nobody else can get in. Time for the beauty of Hyper Lobby.
My banner is optimized .

hmmm....
I can't help but wonder, if you are already involved with a group, Seawolves, why are you so interested in this and what Jiri has to say?

Because:
Im long enough on HyperLobby and when some topic on this forum are close to my interests, then i would like to discuss it, AND whenever im involved with Seawolves, should i stay away from discussion? Should i leave? May be i should stay away from SubSim forum too? I would like to see other lobbies here too, dude, not only flight sims... And why im interested in Jiri's mind, its clear enough i think?!? Because he has the last word!
If you have HyperLobby installed, check out how many rooms are empty - CFS, CFS2, MOHAA, OFP, LB2, Fleet Command!!, Jane's Attack Squadron... and dont tell me that these games are too old and nobody play them anymore. On the SimHq forums there are many people who played these games, full of discussions, but why they don't play these games here? At first time if you want SC room you should prove that there will be support from other players, however this is ONLY my suggestion, that why im interested what will say Jiri. No hard feelings man, i would like to dive with you WHEN your idea is released! I fully support you!

Well Ky3Mu4,
If you go back to the first page, there are quite a few up dates anyway, you will see that Jiri already spoke his thoughts and they were open and interested as I said elsewhere.

Dude, you need to go back and read the WHOLE THING This whole topic is all about a show of hands, and that is it. And I don't need a negative show of hands from people who already have their game sorted out elsewhere. This is for the people without.
My question was put to you regarding your interest here, because your input seemed to me to be of a negative nature, or perhaps better expressed - dissinterested interests....
If interested for good reasons - great. If interested in wrecking the very thought of a show of hands... This is what I needed to check out.
Does this explain my curiousity?
Read the topic again I think

Ky3Mu4,
I think there is just enough of a language barrier going on here that is helping to create a miss-understanding. So will hold off on the jokes, lazy language, and any suspition, long enough for you to cool down. You're ok, just a lil low, PULL UP DAMN IT! PULL UP!!!
Couldn't resist, please laugh
So I saw your post at the other site which helped me to better see your direction. Then I came here and found this. Don't be frustrated. If you really want to have something like this happen, then don't leave. You are welcome.
Hope you stay.
BTW, I think you might be reading just a little to fast for yourself - being another language. Looking back, I can see how certain words might jump out at you and capture your total attention in such a way that you miss the rest of the words around them and thus, the context and 'actual' meaning. I'll try to keep my eyes open for it cause have had to back up a few times. We speak some slang here and some words are said differently now and don't mean the original meaning. Or joking for instance. Of course you never lost another submarine. You never had one. You've never lost one, and if you had, I never new about it. Was quoting Hunt for Red October...
One needs to be used to it and I was taking this for granted.
We'll work it out.
