[solved] Whats with all the updates?

Why the hell so many updates, everytime i open HL the last few days I have to update. If continues to happen I will use use XFIRE. The only reason i use HL is out of loyalty.

Updates=Improvements.

X-Fire does it so why did you put forth the effort to write a post about it?

HL is not only for you, there are thosusands of peoples with ten thousands of speciffic problems. Also there are requirement to all have the same version. If you do not believe this, i strongly recomending you uninstall HL. The updates may popup more frequently in near future, depending on the comunity requirements Wink

Why not just update automatically, why no updates in ages then three in a row ?

Hyperlobby now updates automatically. If there is one available, you will be notified at startup/login and the installer will run.

Because of some real life isues i suspended HL development and maintenance for a time. Now all things was changed and we continue by the same and somewhere improved way.

Launch of new features is always problematic and you hitted time window where all things happen at once Smile

Autoupdate feature was added to solve related problems with deployment of updates and new releases ... (etc,etc more info in the news about 4.1.0)

Thanks for your response,

I was just trying to give some friendly feed back, the frequent updates and pagers messages were getting a bi annoying, I've also noticed more crashes out of game and problems with my trackir since the last update.
