I have 2 PC's on a LAN behind a D-Link DSL504T (ADSL Router).
After much reading of forum posts I am now able to:
- Join games from both PC's concurrently
- Host games from my main PC (PC1)
I would like to be able to Host a game from PC1 and be able to have a freind join the game from the other pc (PC2).
I have tried all sorts of settings without success - PC2 always gets to the server connection screen and timesout.
My current settings are:
PC1 - Host
Port Forwarding to UDP 21000
IPDetect=1 (HLPRO.ini)
ICMP off (I dont know what this does - should it be on?)
PC2
Port Forwarding to UDP 21001
IPDetect=1 (HLPRO.ini)
LocalPort=21001 (HLPRO.ini)
I would be very greatful for any help as I've done nothing but work on this for the last couple of days and the wife is getting ****** with me.
Many Thanks
Midnight Lightning

This settings is imposible, because your router cannot DNAT back from the internal client to the internal host via public IP... it was discused here few times ... You can only made a host by the lobby and join the game outside the lobby (via the game menu).
DNAT back from the internal client to the internal host via public IP can be done for example by an advanced router based from Linux.
