I guess the users you talked to have reasons for this.
But lot of Lock on Players hope for a ne FC lobby (or updating the FC1 one).

The ingame Lobby is working but not the same as the Hyperlobby Sad

In the HL you can chat with players and this game-independent.
Beside Lock on i play il2, where i can chat with players from this room while staying in the LO room. Without HL i need 3 million different messengers Rolling Eyes

Another genial feature is the friendlist: See if friend x is online -> see what server he plays at -> join.

Next: You meet many new Players in the HL, you get help for every thing within a minute and simply can talk with other pilots.

And many reasons more ...

Why give up all those great things? Confused

Btw. its not only my point of view, all persons i fly with (.. and know Lock on) think so^^ I guess the popularity of your HL wont sink with FC2 support Wink

That's not true Jiri, almost every FC2 player really wants HL support... Its kind of our meeting spot and its a lot more user friendly than the in game browser.

Hi

Why not get the guys you speak of to post here, perhaps Jiri will see then there's a community that wants Hyperlobby to support them.

It makes sense to add support only if it can be seen to be needed if you know what I mean.

Smile

As anvirtual pilot, with 5 years history in this branche,
as a virtual pilot active in 3 HL-based sims (Falcon, IL-2 and Lockon) and others no hyperlobby supported ones,
as one of the admins of the international competition league ( http://www.teamcombatleague.ca/)

i can only say this and NOONE can disagree with me here:

A community NEEDS a virtual social plattform besides forums and ingame
browsers. A place where you can meet others besides Teamspeak and Ventrillo and such ...A GLOBAL LOBBY
Hyperlobby is probably one of the smartest inventions ever made for flying
communities and the lack of it currently in Lockon is absolutly noticeable.

Period.

I miss HL too, the in-game browser works for selecting a server to play on... and thats about it. As Fusion and AS mentioned, we miss the social platform that HL offered. What is more, as DCS: BS 1.02 uses the same engine as FC 2.0, I believe it will be very very easy to include support for it too, with servers for both FC2 and DCS on the same page, as in the built in game browser...

p.s. as a CO of =2IAE=, I believe I'm speaking for almost the entire bulgarian LO community Smile

I would like to express my support to include FC2 into HL on behalf of Croatian community with about 20 active flyers.
Too many thing are missing from built-in browser. We need more info!
Thanks in advance!

I only used HL briefly for F4 but compared to the FC browser,(no disrespect to ED), its badly needed.

Beers in the post to give you inspiration!

With the original Flaming Cliffs, Hyperlobby provided players a place to chat and message to keep in contact, discuss the game and other issues and help new players with the game. Though the FC2 in game browser shows you which servers there are, it doesn't offer the capabilities Hyperlobby does. It would be great if you could get HL to work with FC2/DCS.
