Need help badly!!!

hi all, need a hand for a buddy, every time he logs onto hyperlobby and enters a game, his screen gets bigger, when he flies il-2 without hyperlobby his screen is fine? whats the problem here? he has pushed the End and Page Down keys on this keyboard, but still the screen is large when he enters a server on Hyperlobby.

If he goes into IL2 offline/single-player and sets his screen resolution lower, say from 1600x to something like 1024x768 then fly a quick mission, this should fix the issue.
Once this is done, he should be able to fly online without the massive screem size.

Failing this, he can always press SHIFT+ENTER to go into windowed mode which is usually set to 640x480.

You can enter the monitors native resolution into the conf.ini file in the IL2 1946 directory under this section

22" widescreen

[window]
width=1680
height=1050
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0 < enables widescreen in IL2
Use3Renders=0

its is me haveing the big screen problem . i tryed all of that i have seen not good . what can i do now to fix it .

Hi

If you are using Win 7 install IL2 1946 outside of the Programs folders

EG: C:\IL2\IL2 1946 v4.09m

Otherwise you cannot make changes to the files.

hey jet if you had said u were running win7 i could have told you that too. what i did to make game run and be able to make confi file work for rez and all that is this.
if you have 1 HD what you need to do is make up a folder and call it what u want.example il2 game
then install il2 into that folder.make sure u hit browse when u update and put all updates,mods,etc..into THAT folder.

if you have 2 HD's just simpley install il2 on 2nd drive and all will be well.

PS.once u install 4.09m u can go into confi file and change settings for rez and aspect ratio=0(widescreen)
