For what it will be better ? Its port of the server service. When you get posiblity change port, connection will not happen because server listen on port 1698 |

I have access to inet only thru PROXY. The port 1698 is closed.
I'm using http://www.htthost.com/httport3snf.exe to pass the problem (HTTP port is open ).
I change DefaultHost=localhost, but I cannot change default port.

HL not use HTTP protocol for comunication, then a http proxy cant pass HL comunication. Also any games cant work over a HTTP proxy |

You're wrong! No... YOU... ARE... WRONG!!!!!
The program (see link above) can connect thru http to another server (the server without proxy, it's not a game or HL server!, it's
just spec server without proxy).
The server connects with game or HL server using any port or any protocol. Then the server transfer all data thru HTTP(!) protocol to my comp and then thransfers all and any data to ANY game or HL thru port they want. Sure, the game or HL should be configured to use data from localhost(!) and PORT(!) they want. So, HL cannot configure port. |
