| I've always thought that where the IL-2 series really shines is online play. Ever since the Demo in 2001 I've been on the Hyperlobby with IL-2 2001 Forgotten Battles, Expansion Pack, Pacific Fighters and all of the patches. Then 1946, 4.08, 409, 410. Now I'm up to the UP 30 RC3. All of those online wars that have gone threw the Hyperlobby over the years have been a real hoot. Cliffs Of Dover needs the Hyperlobby that's for sure because after the kinks are worked out it will need a home where it can really reach it's potential with it's biggest fans, the online flyers.

| i agree 100% Cliffs of Dover deserves a home where it can reach its potential like hyperlobby did for IL2.
lets hope it can be done soon.from the recent post i have read about Dover is that its running ok now and not dropping servers. that is good news for lobby users.

| Right. IL-2 has made my live a lot less boring that's for sure. In August it will have been ten years of good times with many friends that I have made over the years. If Cliffs of Dover carries on threw the war years as IL-2 did so perfectly I'm sure we'll have many more years of fun but again we need online play for this to happen. When you're online you also have all of the feedback from all of your history experts who play this game and that's very important for the mod people. That's another very important thing. I've known people who were flying CFS 3 or CFS 2000 in the pacific and thought they were the cats meow. I bought each of them a copy of 2001 IL-2 on Ebay for a buck each. When they booted them up and flew them their jaws were on the floor. "Where did this game come from?" "Who makes this?" "This is fantastic!" Then a couple of days later they both downloaded 1946 and they really went ape lol. Then when you go into the EB and ask for it you get an answer like this.."IL-2 Sturmo....whaaat?"
