Runtime error 0 and 6 "overflow

I've been getting runtime error 0 and 6. It says overflow in the error message.
I tried reinstalling after reading the runtime error page, however I doubt it is a clean uninstall as the program knows my settings and my password whenever I reinstall.
I run windows xp and want to play Forgotten Battles in hyperfighter. I have 2.3gig CPU and an ATI card 9600 pro.
Help please

Do you have full administrative rights on your login to your computer?
I ask this because I have gotten runtime error 0 when running under A Guest account. I think this happens because HL is forbidden to save to log chat and settings etc under limited accounts.
Edit: I see you do not have service pack 1 mentioned in your verinfo text?
