I have a problem and can't find the answer in FAQs.
Since downloading 3.6.68 I can't play online using HL as every effort results in a timeout screen (obviously I'm trying low ping servers).
I have a Netgear Prosafe VPN Firewall and it may be a config problem here, but I can't figure it out.
XP firewall is off.

PC - home
CPU - Athlon XP 2600
RAM: 1.5g
2 x 60g Seagate HD.
VGA: NVIDIA Quadro4 900 XGL
OS: XP Pro with SP1
Games: IL-2 FB, AEP with 201 and 204 patches.
IE 6

verinfo.txt:
Win NT: 5.1.A28 - Service Pack 1
hlpro.exe 3.6.0.68
aping.exe 1.0.0.16
dexec.exe 1.0.0.5
mswinsck.ocx 6.0.88.4
msvbvm50.dll 5.2.82.44
asycfilt.dll 3.50.5014.0
comcat.dll 5.0.2600.1
ctl3d.dll No Version Info available!
ctl3dnt.dll No Version Info available!
oleaut32.dll 3.50.5016.0
olepro32.dll 5.0.5014.0
stdole2.tlb 3.50.5014.0

I can't connect to game servers on ubi.com either - timeout.

Thanks ....

The FAQ show what you need to configure at your firewall ...

Hi!
I can play on ubi but not on HL with the new client. I have the same hardware as you. I cant confirm password. I think the problem is in HL not in our settings (bugs). I am working on the problem..

Thanks but I still can't make this work. I looked through your FAQs and found what I think you wanted me to find at http://hyperfighter.jinak.cz/modules.php?name=FAQ&myfaq=yes&id_cat=1&categories=HyperLobby+FAQ
So I set up a service on the firewall, opening UDP services from a port range of 21000 to 21000.
Still no joy. Any other ideas, or is there another url in FAQs I should be looking at?
Thanks ....

whizzwhizz , Your netgear hardware firewall should not need configuration (Opening ports) for joining games, only for hosting. To be sure remove it from your network and try again with windows firewall on. See if you can join A direct IP game is another good test to trouble shoot.

redfox65, What error does it say? Cant get password confirmation? I am unsure of that. Are you using the password from this website? That wont work I'm afraid.
Have you ever successfully logged into the Hyperlobby?

I think the problem lie with my modem, which is a zoom x3 adsl.
It's currently on default settings.
Thanks
