I am getting the Error 52 message.
I am running Windows 64.
HyperLobby menu comes up and it recognize my call sign. Then the path screen comes up. Hit search and it does not find the path to IL2FB.exe. I can copy and pasted the path into the line, click save and it does not recognize path. This happens also if I type the correct path into the C: line.
I have installed all the msvbm50.dll to all folders.
I searched the tech section and found that there was one thread about this and he cured it by changing "Autoconnect setting in the registry"
Were is this setting located at?
Any other ideas?
Thanks |

Darn, I did post the exact registry link. I must have edited my own post.
Here it is again:
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1606980848-682003330-839522115-1003\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\HyperLOBBY\login
Change the autoconnect value to 0
To find the key, just do a search for VBA program settings |

Thanks
I changed the valve to 0,
The search still just goes by the il2fb.exe and all the other FS games.exe's.
Putting the path in manually, Hyper Lobby says it can find that path I just typed in.
Hope someone has some idea as to what is going on here. |

When you put in the path manually, use quotes |

Thanks I have tried that too.
I have changed the msvbvm50.dll from what is posted in the download section with the one from the XP home. I put it in three files in the window folder, system, system 32 and 64
Hyper Lobby does not recognize any of the .exe's from the games.
I get; Run-Time error "52"
Bad file name or number
I even installed IL2FB into the program folder, still did not recognize the exe.
Right now I am at a lost as to what is going on.
I miss flying with the squad for thre weeks now because of this.
It must be a Visual Basics problem, maybe |

Hi, I made an error page on my site.
From my site: Runtime 52
Quote: | Try pasting in pathway again . Before you connect to the Hyperlobby. Hold down the ctrl and shift keys then left click the connect button to bring up the game search dialog. When it is found after search, double click on the version you want to play and this will send it to the "Selected game text box" at the top of the panel. You can also manually type in the pathway or paste it in from explorer but make sure the game executable is included and don't forget to press the "save". Also make sure the game is installed in the same partition and is fat32 not windows fat and partition nfts (It don't like mixed file formats on different drives. Eg: Hyperlobby on C fat32 drive and game on E nfts.

Hope it helps, if not, don't forget to post up your fix. |

Thanks for the reply
I have been through this and it does not work.
Hyper Lobby does not see any of the .exe in any game. It did before under XP Home, but not under XP 64. It is formated NTFS
Hyper Lobby and all the games are under Program Files (x86) folder.
Hyper Lobby program starts and functions, but does not find the path to the .exe of the games. This is strange since I can direct it to the path and they are in the same folder.
So far under XP 64 most all of the program have worked except this one, hardware is another issue. |

Missing out on 3 weeks of sqd flying is no excuse! Join direct ip until sorted.
Have you played around with the compatibility options on the HL exe and il2fb exe's in their properties? (at your own risk of coarse)
I have no experience with X64 so your on your own.
Just some ideas that might be worth a shot...
Out of interest, what does your verinfo.txt say? |

Were is the verinfo.txt?
The error message I get after putting in the path is
Run-Time error "52"
Bad file name or number
I have tried the computability for IL2 but not Hyper Lobby, will try that tonight. |

I finally got it to work.
I really don't know what I did, I done so many things. Run time VB, copy and paste.
I think what did it was I did a compatibility mode on both HL and IL2. Did a search and the program found the exe this time.
Thanks for the help, all |
