~S~,

I've just logged in for the first time and want to find out whether I can play Combat Flight Simulator 2 on Hyperlobby.

When activating the client software, I am unable to find it listed in the Connect/Select Game menu - any suggestions?

Apologies if this is a much asked question...

Thanks in advance

This game is not supported by me and is removed from the game list. It can be activated by hlpro.ini , but i wipe it out from HL soon ...

Thanks for this Jiri.

I suspected as much, but thanks for taking the time to respond.

In the event that the Zone closes CFS2 down there is going to be a good number of people who would like to be able to continue their online involvement with this game - there may still be a market for it yet...

All the best and thanks again!

Following up with what Pads wrote back in September, we just received notification this week that CFS1 and 2 will be dropped from the Zone by the end of Jan 2006. With that in mind and the fact that many more users than you've had in the past will be looking for an online HQ for their games, is there ANY chance you might reconsider? There are probably 2-300 players who will soon be looking for a "home."

Thanks:

Zone needs to keep CFS1 and 2!! there's a lot of us oput there where all we do all day is fly on the zone. I could understand when Zone got rid of FS98. no one ever went there. CFS2 (and CFS1 especially) has many visitors on a daily basis. Don't take it from us, please! Besides, have you ever tried to run a successful IP game, what with no Zone to help? Didn't think so.

so keep us flying, keep us happy, and keep us from revolting (some of us are revolting allready. lol).

Thank you,
Kirkroy

I'm a dedicated CFS1 player. I and the other Zone CFS1 players would like to have somewhere to go when the Zone no longer wishes to welcome us playing our favourite game after Jan 31st 2006.

It would be great if Hyper-Lobby would consider re-opening the CFS1 facility. Many CFS'rs are talking about going to Gamespy but I think they will soon change their minds when they find out how much adware they've had to install as part of the lobby install package.

CFS1 & 2 players have stayed with these games mostly since they discovered them, and are a pretty dedicated and loyal bunch. Most of my squad now play IL2 on HyperLobby. The rest of us have tried these newer games but still prefer our old dinosaurs.

Hope you can become our new hosts.

S~ All,
Both games (CFS1 and CFS2) are actually here Very Happy , all thats needed is that u download the virtual pilots game server from this site and edit the hlpro.ini as shown below.

In hlpro.ini, found in the root of Hyperlobby program, change the lines as indicated here (set Disable=0 in stead of 1):

Code:
[Combat Flight Simulator]
Disable=0
Order=8

[Combat Flight Simulator 2]
Disable=0
Order=9

Ya know Black, I saw that in a different post and went looking in my Hyperlobby folder and could not find any "hlpro.ini". I figured that since this is a newer version of the HL than that which was in play when the thread was written, it (the hlpro.ini) was not a part of the newest version. I downloaded HL from Virtual Pilots hoping there might be a slight difference. I uninstalled my current HL 3.9.85 and installed the Virtual Pilots 3.9.85. Again no hlpro.ini to be found!

But then on a hunch I opened the "hlpro configuration settings" file and bingo! There I found the CFS and CFS2 data paragraphs! I made the adjustments and will test it later.

Jeez, how dumb of me when I was in that folder earlier this week looking and opened everything else BUT the hlpro.cfg!!! Very Happy

Thanks for making me look again
