Hey guys I have purchased IL2-Sturmavik 1946 from direct2drive and have placed all the files as carefully and good as possible. I renamed the launcher to il2 and on the shortcut "C:\Program Files\UbiSoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\il2.exe" instead of "C:\Program Files\UbiSoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\il2fb.exe" so that hyperlobby can find it and that works BUT when I try to open the game it goes to a page that says registering product at the top and is blank beyond that and stays frozen on that screen. If anyone can help me figure out what the problem is I will basically be the happiest person in the world. I have uninstalled and installed several times.

Does the game run without hyperlobby?

No it does not.. I just sits there, Im talking in general about the game, I got the exe thing to find the game on hyperlobby but the game still wont open, just sits on activating product... and freezes

I have 1946 on DVD and never encountered an activation.
I suggest contacting the direct 2 drive people.

I have the same question, the system asks me the path to the game. I have pasted it several times without success...
Should the file be changed from il2fb.exe to il2.exe to run correctly ?
