Story is that I installed and ran HL while I had 4.07m of IL2 Sturmovik 1946, I was having trouble patching IL2 and I wanted to make sure that it really wasn't patched and I couldn't see any people/servers.
I then got IL2 patched and redirected HL to
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\il 2 sturmovik 1946.il2fb.exe
I still can't see any people or servers though when I connect to Forgotten Battles.
Any help is appreciated.

Are you sure it is in the ForgottenBattles room?
HL default starts in the Jane's WWII Fighters room on a fresh install.
It is rarely used and there may be no one there.

I just double checked to make sure, and it says Forgotten Battles in the top right when I'm in the the unpopulated channel.
Any other ideas?

If I don't have another game installed like Wings Over Vietnam or Strike Fighters: Project 1 and I join their lobbies should I be able to see people in their chats at least?
Just a side question because I can't see anyone on any game on HL.

OK I figured it out, and the answer is I'm stupid.
I just didn't read the chat box where it tells you to retype the password, and then your email...
So if anyone has that problem again there is the easy answer... |
