Can't join Hyperlobby

Hi

I've been trying for the last few days to connect to HL but it's just not happening.

I've installed IL-2 Sturmovilk 1946. I've patched it with 4.08 and downloaded the HL enabler. However, when I click on the connect button it tells me it can't locate the files. IvÃ© changed from Sturmovik to FB bin the games list on the right of the HL box thing but neither seems to work. Sometimes the various game lists flash on but only for a few seconds but there aren't any games or players listed. The three colums are just blank. I also get the engine noise start-up sound but only for a second or two. When the file path selection box comes on it tends to skip right over the various IL-2 files in my c: drive. It just doesn't recognise them for some reason. I've had a look at the various suggested fixes but nothing seems to work. Unfortunately, none of this is helped by my total lack of computer skills, and I mean total.

Does anyone know, in total lay-person english, how I can fix this? It's really starting to do my head in. Also, I don't understand why the file path is supposed to reference FB when I have 1946 installed. Also, why I'm supposed to use the FB "room"when I don't have FB installed. Sometimes I really wonder if this sim isn't intended to drive me completely crazy! Sorry about the rant.

Are you in the "Forgotten Battles" room when Hyper Lobby starts up?

Hyper Lobby default starts in the Jane's WWII Fighters room'

1. Start up HyperLobby
2. If it says it can't find the game, just press cancel
3. In the top right, click "PLAYER LISTS" and choose "CONNECT / SELECT GAME"
4. If you have"IL-2 Sturmovik 1946" then select "Forgotten Battles"

Hi Doddlebug, thanks for your reply.

I've done what you suggested, or I think I have. When you ask if I'm in the "Forgotten Battles"room, I assume you just mean that when the HL box appears on your screen, I'm to click FB in the list of games on the upper right. Is that what you mean by in the FB room?

If FB is checked, I'm not prompted to select a file path as I would be if I'd checked IL-2, HOWEVER, in the dialogue at the bottom I'm told that HL connected successfully and then under that, that my user name of password in wrong. The player lists are all empty when I click on them.

Any ideas what I should try now?? I have the remember password box checked so I have no idea how it could be incorrect.

Try using a new name and password.

It's likely you forgot your old password
or used capitols and or lower case letters in a different order.

Here's one for the experienced. I can log on here and post but cannot get password and username to be accepted in the game lobby?

Any suggestions? Message says "User name and password does not match".

Game lobby and forum use different passwords and names.

Try a new name and password.

Experiance shows that most issues are related
to users forgetting password case/caps pattern of the password itself.

Password is case sensative, name is not.
