Don't know why, but I had problems and reformated the computer.
It was lagging bad in all areas and would not fix.
No virus or anything, just some hiccup or such.
I have a TB and a half HD and partitioned it, reformatted it into three sections (Main, Games, and Temp)
THEN....I methodically put everything back in. Motherboard drivers, Windows XP, video drivers etc. I then updated windows and when all was done, I reinstalled Hyperlobby. and it works.
So, with that said, don't know why it didn't work before, but I am good now.
Odd...but you may want to try the same thing if you can without losing it all.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

I recently purchased two Seagate 1.5 TB drives from NewEgg.
Both were partitioned to 500 gig partitions, no problems so far
but I never attempted to use tham un partitioned.
