Hello,

I had an interesting problem.
I installed HL, ran it and got windows error (that some other guys got also):

AppName: hlpro.exe AppVer: 3.7.0.74 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 00029a19

Searching the forum, I found that topic:
http://hyperfighter.jinak.cz/ftopicp-1156.html#1156
and the 3rd answer got me the clue...

I don't have MIRC but a zero Ko file, named "Program", without the dot and extension was present at the root of the disk where HL was installed.
I deleted it and woot it worked...

Any clue?
G

This file is created every new HL install or every run ?

What is your system locale settings (or just default system language)?

No, I think the file has nothing related to HL.
May be the cause was the installation of a local apache server???
I installed indigo-perl and then updated easyphp and then (it seems) HL locked.

XP home, french
Version 2002
SP2
P4 2GHZ
512 ram

Hope it helps but I am not convinced.
I don't understand why the presence of a file named Program, 0 Ko, (even if I create it manually), at the root of HL installation, locks HL...
