I'm looking for a new joystick to replace my Logitech 3D Pro.

I've heard that the Saitek X45 will crash to blue screen if using Windows XP (which I have).
If so, are there any patches, etc. to prevent this?

Is anyone using the new X52 and how does it compare to the X45?
I've heard the deadband needs to be adjusted on it to work well with FB, ACEs, PF.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

my cousin and i are using the saitek and we love it just hard to program with all the commands but no blue screen lock-up in XP. I would recoomend it. Plus it looks so cool!

Thanks,
Turns out the blue screen was a thing of the past, but doesn't happen anymore.

I got the x45 and am happy.

What I'd like to know now though is if there is a good way to "mod" the stick to keep it from "groaning", when the black plastic part at the bottom under the spring rubs against the base.

Has anyone tried to remove that part or lubricate it to make it smoother and less noisy?
