thanks everybody, got it working!!!! ( taken old stuff out of my comp. and installed new one.)

When I install HL it always installs to the same folder and overwrites the older files...? maybe you have installed HL to a new folder & are still using your old HL shortcut?
just a thought

Yes ,maybe unistall HL and when reinstall let it install shortcuts.
