Hi Jiri and all you guys there.

When I try to run a FA session with HL, I always get a run-time error "0", and the program suddenly crashes...
attempting to fix that, I turned every firewall in my system (XP2, Bitdefender 8 Antivirus Pro) off both, and also tried to download VB5 from this site's download page, but I found that its link is broken.

Any suggestion? Thanks in advance!

My system is:

OS Windows XP2
CPU Pentium 4
MB Gigabyte
RAM 1 Gb
Antivirus Bitdefender 8 Professional Plus
HD 200Gb

Here's an update.

After uninstalled HL and installed again the program wthout any other program running, I got the chat option working only.

Anyway, when I select the option "game", the program always crashes and give me the 'run-time error "0" ', as usual.

I also tried to install the VB5 runtime after dowloaded it from the Microsoft support site, but with no results - the error remains.

My OS language is Italian.

Is there anyone who would help me? Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Jiri!

So, if I understand your answer well, have I to find out the topics among this Forum, or elsewhere?

Jiri,

I always shut down XP2's own firewall and my antivirus - BitDefender 8 Pro plus, because I was afraid was their fault, but unfortunately I got no results at all and the problem is still there.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance again...

I had error 0 happen when I tried running HL from a limited XP user account.
Try installing and running from an admin account maybe?
Worth a try.

Try install it from admin account, search for folder c:\program files\hyperlobbypro3 , and set the folder hyperlobbypro3 for write by everyone. Then run it from user account.

Or install HL from admin account, uninstall it (it will update mswinsck.ocx as well), then run instalation from user account and target the instalation path in to your profile. This will made the HL folder writable by yourself ...

Those issues are targeted to be solved in the 4.x version.

Well, guys... I'm back after spending a bit of time on solving my problem.

And I got it!

Jiri, please note this among your tips,if you want:

"Always be sure that the characters' dimension on screen is set to 96 dpi..." Wink Laughing Laughing Laughing

Here's why I always got that unexplicable 'run-time error 0' until I noted that particular...

Am I lucky? Not quite, I'm stubborn for sure, instead...

Cheers to all from the Sunny Country!
