HL loads up and closes.

I'm having a problem while running the program.
It loads up then it closes without any error.
I've tried uninstalling lobby via add/remove, then installing it again, and i get the same problem.
Furthermore, i tried downloading VB5 runtime from this site, it doesn't help too, same problem - loads up and goes down again.

I'm not sure it would help, but maybe it will:
WindowsXP Pro SP1
AMD AthlonXP 2000+ @ 2200+
MSI Geforce4 Ti4600
256MB DDR 266MHz PC2100

and some other stuff...

Please help,

Hi, I'm having the same problem. I do have pretty much the same system that 69Col-WINGS has. except I have a Raedon 8500.
Just starts to load and widows says it has a problem . This is the info that windows xp gives.

..AppName: hlpro.exe AppVer: 3.1.0.45 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1106 Offset: 0000ef71
