Error Socket: 11001 Authoritative answer: Host not found
Can someone help me get past this please
I have not had a problem till today with this
No firewall running

I saw both the 11004 and 11001 error messages before I fixed mine. The fix I gave is working good so far. |

I'm a long time HL user.. and today getting this:
Error Socket: 11004 Valid name, no data record of requested type
I tried the "fix" in HOST file to no avail. Turned off Firewall filter (which worked up to today okay) - nothing.

I think something might have been removed in a McAfee "easy clean" which cleans some registry...
Anyway, I uninstalled and reinstallled and it worked fine.. except I forgot my password  .. so now I'm TBS_Twig1 until I remember  |
