In order not to drive people crazy with newbie flounderings online, I need to educate myself about voice comms. I'd be very grateful if somebody could explain to me:

1. Which is better, Ventrilo or Teamspeak?

2. Exactly how do I get either of these programs to work for LOMAC MP sessions via HyperLobby? Does there have to be a server? How does it work?

Many thanks
Bahger

Which is better is a matter of taste and or bandwidth. Many people like ventrilo and many people like teamspeak. There is also roger wilco, battle comm, teamsound and game voice. You can have several on your system although you can only run one at a time. These 3rd party programs are independent of lomac and hl.Just d/l and install the client. These programs are server/client based.(battle comm,rw and game voice can be run in a peer to peer setup)You are the client and must join a server.Ask in the chat to get the address of a server. Most squads run them.some individuals run them and I believe there are some public servers that have lomac channels.Just find out what most people use.
