When I try to install it tells me I cannot because there is already an installation in progress.

I have tried several times and have also tried downloading from this website in case the auto-updater was the problem but it wont let me install.

I hope there is a solution because as I am only allowed to delay the update by up to 20 minutes I am having to enter my desired server directly.

It may mean there is another installation in progress and you must finish it ...

To continue i need your Windows version, and detailed error. Better will be if you post here a screenshot of that error message.

OK fixed it by reboot. If you wonder why I did not do that before then it is because my PC takes about 15 minutes to be useable again when I reboot Shocked Yes I do keep cleaning out my startup progs, it is just really slow so I usually just hybernate.
