Hi everyone!
Is there a way to make HL let two computers behind the same router play?
If there is what do I need to change?
Probably a silly question |

Hi
Start HL >Edit settings>
[IL-2 Sturmovik 1946]
joinDelay=20
clientRate=8000
;Determine the client source port. Useful when is more that one user behind the NAT router.
;Must be diferent for each user behind the same NAT router
localPort=21000
Edit the port for one of the PC's HL to 21001 |

If you are both playing on the internet from behind the same router you also have to forward the proper ports for each machine.
Probably 21000 and 21001.It depends on what you assigned to the local port in each version of HyperLobby. |

You only need to open port 21000 udp if you are hosting/server IL2 1946
Though it wouldn't hurt to open the 21000's sometimes its a headache configuring modem router firewalls.
A good point and click setup modem/router site can be found here

If both people behind the router want to host games on HL then both local ports must be forwarded their respective internal ips. |

Lets not complicate things.
To simply "play" no ports need to be forwarded.
To "host" port 21000 UDP needs to be opened, and respective ports added per client behind the router.
eg
PC 1 21000
PC 2 21001
PC 3 21002 |

or just type in to the hl chat after login exactly those commands per machine behind the same NAT router:
for pc1 /sg localPort=20001
for pc2 /sg localPort=20002
for pc3 /sg localPort=20003
It will do the same job as edining hl configuration. |
