with the release of pacific fighters there now seems to bee 4 different versions of il2 hosted rooms.

people who have il2 fb
people who have il2fb + aep
people who have il2fb + aep + pf
and finally people who have pacific fighters stand alone

will a seperate lobby be created for pacific fighters & or pacific fighters + aces expansion & forgotten battles Wink

also in the mean time it would be super if players could lable their gameS with what version they are running, eg FB + AEP or PF or PF+AEP+FB

Good question...
People might not bother to post their version. Maybe a version checkbox's in the hosts settings window that must be checked before the game will launch.
Just A thought.

I like Gunny's idea of a mandatory tick-box to make it clear what version the game is running - less hassle for allcomers? Wink

i currently have 3 versions of il2 installed on my pc

il2fb+aep
il2fb+aep+pf
PF

each time i wish to enter the lobby to use 1 version or another i need to rename the il2fb.exe so when i re-enter the lobby hyperlobby will initiate the serch for exe.. Confused Confused

p.s. i wish the carriers could move in a multiplayer dogfight just love the pitching flight deck

When i found a way to get this game, ill decide what with this nonsens ...

My plan is than current room IL2FB room will be for IL2FB+AEP and second room for PF will be for IL2FB+AEP+PF..

Good idea!
I beleive that people who will have PF as stand alone only will be a minority!

Yup, and they got motivation to buy IL2FB + AEP as an addon for PF Wink

~S~ all

Actually, I think there will be plenty of people who will have PF as a stand-alone game.

As a 'refugee' from the Zone's CFS2 community, which is very quiet these days (especially European time) and surely dying a slow death, I think there will be quite a few CFS2 players who will want to continue their enjoyment of the Pacific theatre without necessarily buying two extra games to do so (FB + AEP!)

In their favour, Ubi.com have eventually opened up a coop and dogfight lobby for PF, so we stand-alone PF-ers do have a place to go, but the Ubi environment seems rather more limited than this one.

I am sure there would be a 'market' for a stand-alone gaming environment here, too.

~S~

There is provision to play stand-alone PF at Ubi.com already. In my version of the game, I can access the Ubi.com website via my Muliplayer screen. If you do not have this feature, you will need to go to ubi.com and find the online section yourself.

There was a posting elsewhere here outlining how it is possible to fly stand-alone PF at Hyperlobby, too.

If I remember correctly, you will need to copy your PF.exe file and rename the new version 'il2fb' - apparently this will allow you to fly with others who have stand-alone PF. I've not tried it though, maybe someone else can confirm.

Cheers,

Pads

i use to play on UBI but i would prefer to play it on hyperfighter...

i have stand alone il2fb and i have stand alone PF

but i don't see why i should buy AEP because i have the new maps and most of the flyable planes via il2fb patches.
why should i buy it ?? just to be able to fly spitfires ??? just to be able to join hypperfighters games ?
this would be expensive wouldn't be ?

Well it's one thing to buy FB 2 years ago, then go along and buy the new add-on as they come out, but it's another to make somebody buy 2 other older games/add-on to be able to enjoy the multiplayer online game.

Personnaly, I bought FB and PF, but passed on AEP. Now, given the current situation, that kinda sucks. Wink

I believe there's gonna be quite a few people using PF only, and it would be great to have a PF/stand-alone room in HL.
