Il2 Crashes when I launch from Hyperlobby

Hey Guys

I have put up with this problem for around 2 months now before then I could host games no problem.

Here's what happens:

I go to a hosting slot, save the info launch the game from the HL
20 sec count in
I get to the multiplayer setup screen
I set a password game type: dogfight
Click the create button

as I click the create button, the button stays embedded and my mouse dies and the game freezes.
The only way out of it is to Alt Ctrl and Del it, the task manager states that Il2 "is not responding"

I can host through IP via directly launching my game exe instead of the hyperlobby launching it, offline it lets me get right the way through the menu and people are able to join.

I have tried the following:
Uninstalled FB, AEP and PF

Reinstalled FB, tried launching a game from HL and I get the same problem where it crashes when I select "create"

I tried this right the way through my installs:

FB + AEP

FB + AEP + PF

same problem!

I have uninstalled HL, and reinstalled..... same problem!

It seemed to work ok before the latest version of HL was released.

Im running XP Pro OS.

I would really appreciate anyone that could help me out here as this is driving me crazy!!! I host a lot of games as a part of a squadron and I am one of the few with the fastest internet connections. please please help!
