Incorrect NAME or PASSWORD....!!!!!

Please tell me why i cant connect.....Every time i try it sez..Incorrect name..!!! or Password...WHAT????, Tried creating my own password..NO JOY. Sent for Two new ones NO JOY..!!!! WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO TO GET A GAME ROUND HERE, PLEASE TELL ME.

The same thing just happened to me. I set up new account, recieved the e-mail reply, then tried to log on to a game. No luck.

I am honestly not trying to be rude, but the manual is less than clear on some things, especially for people who have absolutely no experience with on-line gaming. I am 40 years old, but I have very limited computer knowledge or experience, and I am having a difficult time understanding what some people apparently take for granted that everyone should know.

I was finally able to log on to the lobby, but I was never able to enter a game because it said I had timed out. I have a DSL connection and am patched to 3.04m. I really enjoy FB/PF andwould love to try flying on-line against human opponents. Instead of flaming us new guys, how about some friendly pointers?

It is really disheartening to have a comment like this come from a site administratior. I know you guys are very busy trying to run the server, but the flight sim community is not overly large compared to other genre. Running people off when they have an interest in taking part in virtual flying is a good way to insure that flight simming's days will be numbered.

Your username and password for the website and the lobby are totally unrelated.They are not the same.(although they could be)

Read section 6 of the manual.Choose a username and password.Then put the reply in the chat box window and press enter.

A time out error message is not the fault of the lobby.It is the users configuration.Check the ingame network settings,machine firewall or router settings.

I do appreciate your kind reply. I fiigured out the password thing last night, but I,m still working on the time out. I do understand that is not the fault of the server.

The point I was trying to make in my previous post was that I have had a lot of very nice people try to help me ever since I first tried to run Il-2 and had difficulties due to my not having as full an understanding of how a comuter works as some do, and then recently in my quest to up-grade my computer to run the program as well as is possible on my crappy computer. There are some people, however, that seem to take joy in flaming someone asking a question. There is an old saying "there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers". No one learns anything from not asking questions when they don't
understand something.

It seems to me that another old saying applies on-line, as well in person : if you don't have something good to say, don't say anything..

Once again, thank you for the helpful advice, troll2k. I hope I succeed in getting on-line. I look forward to seeing you on my six!
